Molitor Milk House

Come experience a real farm & stay in our old restored milking barn. You will get to experience the real feel of a Minnesota pig farm. Here you can either relax and take in the beautiful nature views, or take part in learning about our farm. We want to deliver an escape from the everyday hustle and bustle to enjoy some peace and quiet! There is something beautiful about a small farming community that everyone needs to visit.

We have a beautiful river that is just south of the barn. We have many ducks, geese, turkeys, chickens, cats, and dogs that roam the property so there is always a friend nearby. There is a lot to discover and do while at Feathered Acres so I hope you decide to join us!

We had a great time at the barn! So cute and cozy inside and fun to check out the animals! We absolutely adored Stout the sweetest fluffiest farm dog who came to visit us at the barn :)

October 2021

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The accommodations were nice and comfortable. The animals were super sweet and friendly. We had a relaxing stay. Trisha was excellent about communicating with us and answering any questions we might have. We enjoyed the tour of the farm too! We were even fortunate enough to see baby piglets that were only a week old. :)
We did not venture out into the community but appreciated the list of recommended places to go.

Trisha was a wonderful host and the farm was such an amazing experience for my family and me! We had a great time taking a break from the fast-paced city life (and all the screen time) to enjoy nature. The kids had the best time chasing chickens (and being chased), carrying the cats all around, petting the brand new baby pigs, roasting marshmallows and playing in the river! Our dog also had the time of his life! :) We will be recommending this place to our friends for sure!

February 2022

Highly recommend! Our family wanted a cozy winter mini-vacation in a pinch and this was the perfect fit. The floor was heated, the fireplace was easy to use, our kids loved their own twin beds, and we slept extremely well in the secluded silence and warm quilts. Bonus: starting our morning with farm fresh eggs to cook up. But the highlight was getting a friendly tour of the farm complete with goose bath time, checking out the chickens, and hearing all about the pigs, all accompanied by a very sweet enormous puppy. The kids loved it and so did their parents!

We brought our kids to Trisha’s farm for a night in October. So much fun to feed their chickens and learn about how they raise pigs. Trisha was a great host!

August 2021

We really enjoyed our Girls weekend at this property! Trisha was very welcoming and it was fun to get the tour of the farm and meet all the animals. The space was the perfect for the three of us and we had a blast! What great hosts! We highly recommend this place and hope to return soon!

January 2022

Our monthly adventure plan took us to Glacial Lakes State Park and then over to stay at Crow River Barn. Easy to find, cozy & rural cool. Even at -12 degrees overnight we were warm and toasty. Special touches included a farm tour of the animals and property.

What a great stay on this super cute farm! Loved being able to see all sorts of farm animals while walking around the property and having a tour of the pigs and chickens with Trisha. The barn was very cozy and we stayed warm all night.

Marvelous experience. Checkin was seamless, beds super comfy, dogs Scout and Benelli were fab companions, Trisha gave us a full tour of the farm, The pigs, cows and incredibly interesting chickens and other bird life were fascinating. The photography opportunities were endless. Nice kitchen facilities to prepare meals. Farm life was perfect.

 FAQs

  • All ages are appropriate! My daughter is almost 2 and she has been with me in all aspects of our farm and LOVES to help with chores!

  • Wear your outside clothing that you don’t mind if it gets dirty! Our chickens roam freely so there will be the occasional droppings around the farm that might be stepped on!

  • Cats, dogs, geese, turkeys, chickens, and pigs

  • You are allowed to hold/pet the cats and dogs.

We won't allow petting pigs unless we visit them in the pasture then they will more than likely bump you with their nose. You can sneak a pet in then.

We can hold the chickens when identifying their anatomy but we have to catch one first!!

    • Swimsuit for swimming in the river (towels will be provided)

    • Outdoor clothing and a change of clothes for inside since they more than likely will get dirt or smelly.

    • Food for cooking

    • Binoculars for looking at deer, pheasants and turkeys that come out in the evenings

  • Yes! I will have a food scrap bucket in each unit so you can feed the chickens fruits and veggies! I will also have some corn kernels for the chickens which they LOVE!

We can also feed the pigs some veggies out in the pasture while we are on the tour! The scrap bucket will come in handy for this also!

    • No smoking inside but outside is allowed

    • Be respectful of the gardens and do not pick food without asking and do not run/walk through the gardens resulting in damage.

    • Pets are not allowed

    • No roaming around the whole farm without my guidance. There are areas that you will have access to the whole time but then certain areas that will need to be guided by me for your safety!
